Spreading the Word – Publicity
Amy’s H.O.P.E. 20 is getting the message out there. More people are hearing about Myasthenia Gravis and the affect it has on sufferers. We are very grateful to the Myasthenia Gravis Association for providing us with information leaflets and posters on MG to distribute and for the promotional items to sell on our stalls at car boot sales, indoor markets and now Christmas Fairs. Including the money raised from the Skydive in October, in total we have raised over £1,200.
We had a full A4 page article published in the Hampshire Branch Myasthenia Gravis Newsletter, which mentioned the skydive we did in October and the forthcoming event in February. There is also an editorial in our local free paper “The Waterside Herald”.
Fundraising – Bartley Village Hall Christmas Fair – Sunday 8th December 2014
We had our usual table at the Bartley Christmas Fair, we have had a table at this fair for many years now, donating our takings to the Myasthenia Gravis Association. This year we were raising funds for Amy’s H.O.P.E. 20 and made £40.00 from our sales. We would also like to thank the committee of the Bartley Village Hall for donating the takings from their raffle to Amy’s H.O.P.E. 20. This added a further £94.00 to our fundraising.

The Main Event – Afternoon Tea at Lyndhurst Park Hotel – Saturday 15th February 2014

Tickets for this event are on sale now at £18.50 each. This includes the afternoon tea plus an afternoon packed with entertainment. The entertainment includes:-
Clarinet Surprise, Zumba display, Table Magic, The Joker and the King, A song or two from Justin Macleod, The New Forest Rock Choir and more …
ART AUCTION
During the afternoon there will be an art auction. We have had some items of art donated, these include pencil drawings, water colours, and photographs.
THE PRIZE DRAW
Tickets are already on sale for our prize draw, at a cost of 40p each or £2.00 for a book of 5.
The first prize is £100 cash.
Other prizes include:
£50.00 voucher for Hall and Woodhouse Brewery, 2 adult tickets for admission toPaulton’s Park, 2 adult tickets for admission to Beaulieu Motor Museum, £20 voucher for Jumbo House Chinese takeaway (Ashurst). There are also prizes donated by Tescos, Sainsburys, Stewarts Garden Centre, Cadnam Nurseries and Bradbeers of New Milton.

Amy’s Book
Amy is continuing to write her book. She is hoping to have this available for purchase by 15th February. There is still a bit of work to do on it, plus we need to find someone who will publish it at a cost that is affordable.
